Khartoum: The Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism has announced that Sky News Arabia is prohibited from operating in Sudan, as the news outlet lacks the necessary permits and accreditation to conduct media activities within the country.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Ministry issued a statement clarifying that Sky News Arabia’s operations in Sudan are in direct violation of the nation’s media laws and regulations. The statement emphasized that the news channel’s crew entered Sudanese territory to perform professional activities without obtaining the required official accreditation.
The Ministry has asserted its right to pursue legal action in response to this violation, in line with Sudanese laws governing media operations. The statement underscores the government’s commitment to enforcing regulations that oversee media activities within Sudanese national territories.
