Port sudan: The Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism will hold an official ceremony on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Al-Rabwa Hall in Port Sudan to celebrate the recovery of 570 looted Sudanese antiquities, spanning periods from prehistory to the modern era. The event forms part of national efforts to protect cultural heritage and safeguard Sudan's historical identity.
According to Sudan News Agency, the ceremony will be addressed by Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Khalid Al-Eisir, the Ministry's Undersecretary, and representatives of several relevant institutions. In an official invitation issued in his name, the Minister called on state institutions, community bodies, and media organizations to attend the event, which will feature the formal announcement of the recovery of the antiquities.
The ceremony also marks the conclusion of the Ministry's activities at its temporary headquarters in Port Sudan, held under the slogan 'A Sweet Conclusion.' Minister Al-Eisir affirmed that the recovery of the antiquities constitutes a major national achievement, underscoring the state's determination to protect its civilizational heritage and reclaim its cultural property. He stressed that the occasion reflects Sudan's collective commitment to preserving its historical identity.
