Wad madani: Ministry of Agriculture Undersecretary for Irrigation witnessed a presentation on Friday at the Irrigation Corporation headquarters in Wad Madani, titled 'Operation of the Upper Atbara and Seteit Dams and the Khashm-El-Girba Dam.' The presentation was prepared by Director-General of Dams Engineer Mua'tassim Al-Awad and attended by engineers concerned with dam affairs.
According to Sudan News Agency, the technical presentation highlighted the importance of cooperation, coordination, and teamwork in implementing the state's strategic policies. It included interaction from engineers across disciplines and produced recommendations to improve dam operation and maintenance.
The Undersecretary praised the high expertise of Sudanese engineers in dam management, noting: 'For over a hundred years, dam operations have never declined.' He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in advancing development and preserving water resources and confirmed his commitment to implementing all recommendations from the presentation and attendees.
Attendees also expressed enthusiasm through technical and engineering interventions aimed at ensuring the optimal operation of the dams.
