Atbara: The First National Conference on Sudanese Youth Issues began on Saturday morning at the Land Port in Atbara under the slogan 'Youth Overcome Difficulties with Determination, Building, and Authentic Belonging.'
According to Sudan News Agency, the conference is organized by the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of River Nile State, featuring broad participation from federal and state leaderships. Notable attendees included the Minister of Youth and Sports, Professor Ahmed Adam; the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Professor Mutasim Mohamed Salih; the Wali of River Nile State, Dr. Mohamed Al-Badawi Abdel-Majid Abuqron, along with members of the state government. Other participants were the Artillery Corps Commander, Major General Mohamed Al-Amin, members of the State Committee, representatives of several federal ministries, ministers of youth and sports from various states, and representatives of sports federations and related entities.
The opening session was attended by media professionals from Khartoum and River Nile State, along with a large number of youth participants from across Sudan. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Chairman of the Conference Preparatory Committee, Dr. Hani Ahmed Al-Taj Al-Sir, highlighted the conference as an essential platform for discussing youth issues and formulating a scientific vision and strategic plan that aligns with youth aspirations and supports the national economy.
Dr. Al-Taj Al-Sir emphasized that Sudanese youth are the country's true wealth, with the conference providing an opportunity for intellectual and knowledge-based creativity aimed at enhancing youth capacities. He advocated for the establishment of effective mechanisms to advance youth realities amidst technological developments and counter external targeting.
Further, Dr. Al-Taj Al-Sir noted that Sudanese youth have been a formidable barrier against regional and international conspiracies targeting Sudan and its people, asserting that they will also lead the nation in phases of construction and reconstruction.
