Khartoum: Minister of Youth and Sports Prof. Ahmed Adam attended the opening of the 'Return Cup' for Khartoum clubs (first edition) at Al-Hurriya Square in Al-Diyoum Al-Sharqiyah Neighbourhood, in Khartoum amid large official and public attendance.
According to Sudan News Agency, the tournament was launched under the slogan 'With Sports, the Nation Recovers,' with participation from several clubs and sports stars. The event highlighted social cohesion and the role of sports in supporting stability and restoring sporting activity in the capital.
The minister emphasized the importance of such initiatives in empowering youth and enhancing the role of sports as a tool for national unity. He praised the efforts of organizers and reaffirmed ministry support for activities that contribute to societal recovery.
In another event, the minister participated in a cultural program organized by the National Cooperative Institution under the campaign 'No to Racism, Tribalism, and Regionalism,' aimed at promoting tolerance and national unity. He stressed the need to combat hate speech and promote a culture of peaceful coexistence, affirming that youth represent the true force for building a cohesive society based on respect and diversity.
