Geneva: HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri met with HE Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Gilbert Houngbo on the sidelines of the International Labour Conference.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between the State of Qatar and the ILO. Both parties discussed ways to further strengthen and develop this collaboration.
The discussion also reviewed the progress of the joint work program between Qatar and the ILO. This program, extended last year, aims to enhance the work environment, increase the competitiveness of the national workforce, and develop and train national talents in line with labour market needs.
