Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohamed Tahir, met today with Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Omar Ahmed Ibrahim Nimr, Head of the Peoples' Association Organization and Chairman of the Sudanese Initiative for Honouring UN Agencies and Voluntary Organizations.
According to Sudan News Agency, Maj. Gen. Nimr stated in a press statement that the meeting focused on the Organization's projects under the Sudanese popular initiative, which aims to honor UN agencies, organizations working in Sudan, voluntary groups, and regional organizations in friendly and sisterly countries.
He further mentioned that he informed the TSC Member about the Organization's project to honor the State of Kuwait, as well as a proposed Sudanese-Qatari symposium intended to enhance strategic relations between the two countries. Both initiatives are being sponsored by TSC Member Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohamed Tahir.
