Liberian Foreign Minister Visits Sudan to Discuss Bilateral Relations

Khartoum: Liberia's Foreign Minister, Ms. Sara Beysolow, arrived in Sudan on Wednesday morning for a two-day official visit, accompanied by a high-level delegation. She was received at the airport by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salim.

According to Sudan News Agency, the visit comes at the invitation of Minister Salim and will include official talks with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a number of senior government officials. The discussions aim to strengthen bilateral relations between Sudan and Liberia and to coordinate in regional and international forums, given Liberia's position as a member of the United Nations Security Council.

The visit is also historic, marking the first time in a decade that a senior Liberian official has made an official trip to Sudan.
