Khartoum: Director General and Acting Minister of the Khartoum State Ministry of Health, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Badri, engaged in discussions with the Sudanese Society for Liver Transplantation and Indigenization, led by Dr. Mohamed Al-Sharif, to explore the society's initiatives in preventing liver diseases across Khartoum State.
According to Sudan News Agency, during a meeting with the society's executive bureau members, Dr. Al-Badri commended the society for its pivotal role in raising awareness, preventing liver diseases, and offering treatment services. He emphasized the ministry's commitment to expanding partnerships aimed at enhancing health promotion, conducting awareness campaigns, facilitating training, and recruiting specialist consultants to elevate healthcare services and ensure collaborative success.
Dr. Mohamed Al-Sharif revealed that arrangements are complete for launching a free medical camp designed to conduct 30 liver transplant operations within Khartoum State. He highlighted the society's establishment of numerous active partnerships and its training programs in collaboration with the Military Medical Corps, while continually supporting the Ministry of Health as the primary authority for healthcare services.
He reiterated the society's preparedness to deliver additional medical services to the citizens, reinforcing its commitment to healthcare advancement.
