Sudan Voices Support for Pan-African Parliament President, Urges Assistance in Peace Endeavors

Khartoum: Sudan's Ambassador to South Africa, Othman Abu Fatima Adam, extended congratulations to Pan-African Parliament President Fati Boutbig on his new role, emphasizing Sudan's endorsement of his leadership and agenda aimed at enhancing the African legislative body's influence.According to Sudan News Agency, during a meeting held on Monday at the Pan-African Parliament headquarters in Midrand, South Africa, Ambassador Adam and President Boutbig discussed the current developments in Sudan. The ambassador underscored the government's initiatives to foster peace through a Sudanese-led process. He urged the Pan-African Parliament to uphold Sudan's sovereignty, denounce the actions of the terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, boost humanitarian efforts, and back a peace process steered by Sudan.President Fati Boutbig expressed that addressing the Sudanese crisis is a top priority for his presidency. He confirmed the Parliament's commitment to supporting efforts towards peace and stability in Sudan. Furthermore, he announced his intention to visit Sudan to evaluate the situation firsthand and engage with neighboring nations to bolster Sudan's security and stability.
