Khartoum: Intensive campaigns have been launched by the Violations and Regulation Department of Khartoum Locality to address violations and regulate the central area of Khartoum. These efforts aim to create an environment conducive to the return of commercial and service activities in the region.
According to Sudan News Agency, the campaigns targeted Abdel Moneim Street near the Al-Qandoul roundabout, Al-Hurriya Street, and the Jackson transportation station. As a result, a number of kiosks, stalls, informal structures, and tea vendors' sites were removed from main roads, and several unauthorized commercial sites were closed.
Saleh Suleiman Issa, Director of the Violations and Regulation Department, stated that this initiative is part of a larger effort to impose the prestige of the state and law in central Khartoum. The goal is to enhance the environment and general appearance of the area, thereby facilitating the return of citizens and the normalization of life. Central Khartoum is recognized as a major commercial and service hub in Sudan, contributing significantly to the economic landscape of Khartoum State.
Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza recently inspected the central area and commended the efforts to remove violations and maintain cleanliness. He emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts and tightening control to prevent any future violations, while also maintaining the cleanliness and civilized appearance of central Khartoum.
