Port sudan: Transitional Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has emphasized the importance of utilizing the scientific expertise and knowledge housed within the National Research Center as a cornerstone for the country’s development. During a meeting with Dr. Moataz Mohamed El-Dirdiri, Undersecretary of the National Research Center, in his office, Dr. Idris reiterated the civilian government’s commitment to applied scientific research and its role in establishing a robust foundation for the state.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. El-Dirdiri outlined the center’s issues and activities during the meeting, stating that the Prime Minister’s Office would closely monitor the center’s progress and support its advancement. Dr. Moataz highlighted the center’s historical contributions, technological advancements, and involvement in development programs. He noted that the Prime Minister expressed significant interest in the impact of science and research on public life.
The meeting also addressed the plan to reconstruct and develop the center after the damage inflicted by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. Dr. Idris received a proposal detailing the center’s vision for contributing to the success of the Government of Hope’s initiatives, aimed at driving the nation towards development.
