Khartoum: The Joint Force of the armed struggle movements has issued a statement addressing what it describes as 'systematic campaigns' targeting its forces, the Sudanese Armed Forces, and state leadership through the spread of rumours.
According to Sudan News Agency, the statement highlighted that the Joint Force has observed recent systematic campaigns led by certain parties and individuals via various media outlets. These campaigns aim to mislead public opinion and spread falsehoods against the Joint Force, the Sudanese Armed Forces, and state leadership.
Major Mutawakil Ali Wakeel Abuja, the spokesperson for the Joint Force, stated that these attempts are part of a psychological warfare strategy employed by militias and their collaborators. This follows recent movements of the Joint Force on several fronts, which have disrupted opposing calculations and exposed their weaknesses. These actions have led to the spread of rumours to instill fear among citizens as a means to compensate for their losses and military failures.
He further confirmed that all movements by the Joint Force are conducted under directives from the state's command and control room, within the framework of well-planned military operations. These operations aim to establish security and stability while protecting civilians. Major Abuja reassured citizens that these movements pose no threat to them, emphasizing that the actions are part of a national responsibility to protect the land and honour, and to counter any threats to the country's security and stability.
The Joint Force has urged all citizens to disregard rumours and to seek information from official sources, encouraging unity in support of the forces defending the nation.
