Interior and Education Ministers Confirm Secondary School Exams to Proceed as Scheduled

Khartoum: The Emergency Chamber for the 2026 Secondary School Examinations convened on Wednesday, chaired by Interior Minister Lt. Gen. (Police) Babiker Samra Mustafa and Education and National Upbringing Minister Dr. Al-Tohami Al-Zein Hajar.

According to Sudan News Agency, the Education Minister confirmed that preparations for the exams, both within and outside Sudan, are on track. The minister commended community initiatives that are supporting the examination process and assured families and students that all necessary arrangements are completed for the exams to commence on April 13, 2026.

A total of 2,500 examination centers have been established within Sudan, along with 35 centers abroad. Alternative exams for refugee students in western Chad are set to conclude on May 11, 2026. The minister also urged families to ignore rumors and rely on official sources for accurate information.
