Khartoum: Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare Mutasim Ahmed Saleh announced an agreement with Darfur Region Governor Minni Arko Minnawi to coordinate the provision of relief for displaced persons (IDPs) in the region and create livelihood opportunities for them.
According to Sudan News Agency, the announcement was made following a meeting between Minister Saleh and Governor Minnawi at the ministry's headquarters in Khartoum. The discussions also focused on providing training opportunities for Sudanese university students in Darfur, as well as for displaced students, to enhance their skills and employability.
Minister Saleh emphasized that offering employment opportunities for displaced persons and citizens remains a critical priority for the ministry, underlining the government's commitment to addressing the immediate needs of IDPs while also facilitating long-term development and self-reliance in the region.
