Khartoum: The Governor of Khartoum, Professor Ahmed Othman Hamza, has urged citizens to join in a rally supporting the armed forces scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday. The rally aims to highlight the army's role as a unifying force for Sudan, with events planned both domestically and internationally.
According to Sudan News Agency, the governor also appealed to mosque worshippers, religious figures, and Sufi sheikhs to include prayers for the success of the armed forces in their daily supplications. This call to action was made during a meeting at the Sheikh Hamad Al-Nil Mosque in Omdurman, attended by Sheikh Ishaq Mirghani Hamad Al-Nil, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Social Peace, along with other religious leaders and community members. The meeting was part of the National Healing and Recovery Forum aimed at fostering unity among Sudanese citizens, held recently in Al-Jazirah State in Al-Manaqil.
The governor stressed the importance of social peace in addressing the aftermath of conflict and resolving emerging national issues. During his visit to the Sheikh Hamad Al-Nil Mosque and his meeting with Sheikh Alish Hamad Al-Nil, the governor assessed the mosque's conditions, acknowledging its significance in religious tourism.
