Khartoum: Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salim, received Dr. Abdullah Al-Waradat, the newly appointed Representative of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), as he presented his credentials to the Republic of Sudan. According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Al-Waradat conveyed his gratitude to Sudan and recalled his previous experiences in the country during assignments in Juba in 2003 and 2004. He emphasized the enduring relations with Sudan and expressed his commitment to fostering cooperation across various sectors. This cooperation will be coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other pertinent institutions, aiming to bolster the partnership between Sudan and the WFP. Minister Salim lauded the positive trajectory of Sudan's relations with the WFP and reiterated the government's dedication to enhancing collaboration. He assured that efforts will be made to facilitate the Programme's operations and eliminate obstacles to ensure the success of its mission in Sudan.
