Atbara: Federal Minister of Health, Professor Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, accompanied by River Nile State Health Minister Dr. Mustafa Al-Sharif and senior officials, inspected Atbara Teaching Hospital and Al-Damer Hospital.
According to Sudan News Agency, the visit was conducted to assess the current state of service delivery at the hospitals, as well as to review ongoing rehabilitation and maintenance efforts. The inspection also focused on monitoring the implementation of the 'SHARE' project, which aims to upgrade healthcare services in Atbara.
During the visit, the Minister affirmed the Ministry's commitment to field monitoring as a means to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery. He highlighted the 'SHARE' project as a significant step forward in strengthening both health infrastructure and human capacity in the region.
The Minister further reiterated the Ministry's dedication to supporting both Atbara Teaching Hospital and Al-Damer Hospital. This support includes advancing emergency, primary healthcare, and specialized services within a decentralized healthcare system, ensuring better access and quality of care for the local population.
