Khartoum: Federal Minister of Health Professor Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim affirmed the continued delivery of health services in North Kordofan State and the removal of impediments facing the sector during a meeting held at his office in Khartoum with Director-General of the Ministry of Health and Social Development in North Kordofan State, Dr. Iman Malik.
According to Sudan News Agency, the minister commended the efforts of the state Ministry of Health in maintaining stable service delivery, including services provided to displaced persons (IDPs) from West Kordofan, stressing that healthcare services must continue without interruption.
For his part, Federal Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Ali Babiker Sidahmed announced the dispatch of a team from the General Directorate of Curative Medicine, headed by Director of Hospitals Dr. Imad Abdel-Moneim, to assess the level of medical services and review operational arrangements for the state's oncology center.
Meanwhile, Director-General of Health and Social Development in North Kordofan Dr. Eman Malik reported that the health situation in the state is stable, pointing to ongoing coordination with organizations to strengthen the local health system, with a focus on primary care services and support for the health information system.
She also called for urgent solutions to the oxygen supply problem and the operation of the oncology center, presenting a number of projects aimed at advancing the health sector in the state, expressing appreciation for the Federal Ministry of Health's continued support and attention.
