Khartoum: The General Administration for Admission, Evaluation, and Authentication of Certificates at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced an extension for the electronic application period for general admission for students of the postponed Sudanese Certificate, 2023. The deadline has been moved to next Thursday, July 10, instead of the previously scheduled July 7.
According to Sudan News Agency, the extension was announced by Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Electronic Applications. Professor Dahab explained that the extension aims to provide students and their families with additional time to deliberate on their educational options. It also addresses the desires of many students holding Arab and foreign certificates to have their credentials verified. He assured that the electronic application and payment processes have been functioning smoothly.
Professor Dahab indicated that the target number of students for this admission period was approximately 77,000, with around 71,000 students having already completed the application process. This suggests that the electronic application system was well-received and understood by students and their families. In support of this initiative, Dr. Hanan Zain Al-Abidin emphasized the administration’s commitment, alongside its partners, to finding effective solutions for matching and equating Arab and foreign certificates. This effort enables students to submit their credentials to accredited centers or the General Administration for Admission, Evaluation, and Temporary Documentation of Certificates office in Port Sudan.
