Al qadarif: Dr. Ahmed Al-Amin Adam, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Al-Qadarif State, has directed initiatives aimed at providing care for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, while also launching food basket distributions at the AIDS Center. This effort is supported by the Patients' Aid Fund to ensure that those affected receive necessary health services under health insurance coverage.
According to Sudan News Agency, the launch emphasized the importance of increasing support for programs targeting AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. The Patients' Aid Fund highlighted the significance of these contributions, particularly with the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, as they help alleviate living burdens for affected communities. The Secretary extended gratitude to the Fund for its ongoing efforts in nutrition and health services, particularly for displaced individuals and priority health programs in the state.
Professor Moaza Faki, Director of the Patients Aid Fund Office in Al-Qadarif State, explained that the initial batch of food baskets includes a variety of food items specifically allocated for people living with HIV/AIDS. She commended the collaboration with the Ministry of Health and confirmed the Fund's commitment to continue supporting health programs addressing AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. Additionally, she mentioned that the Fund has distributed food baskets and shelter equipment across all camps in the state.
Dr. Al-Harith Muhammad Ali, coordinator of the AIDS control program, relayed the gratitude expressed by those living with HIV towards the Patients' Aid Fund for its sustained support. He called for continued assistance and praised the solidarity and interest shown by both official bodies and the public in supporting the needs of people living with HIV.
