Khartoum: The Council of Ministers, during its meeting on Friday afternoon chaired by Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris, reviewed a report on the Cabinet’s performance for 2025. The report was presented by Acting Secretary-General of the Cabinet Dr. Sami Mustafa Mohamed and aimed to highlight the efforts of the Cabinet in its capacity as the highest executive authority in the country.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Acting Secretary-General explained that the Council exerted considerable efforts during the past period, holding thirteen sessions in which it addressed a wide range of significant issues and issued several decisions and directives aimed at strengthening security and safety, undertaking further legal reforms, combating corruption and smuggling, and achieving economic stability and growth to ease citizens’ livelihoods.
The report also noted progress in restoring essential services such as water, electricity, health, and education, in addition to maintaining external engagements and representing Sudan in international forums.
The Council of Ministers subsequently approved the 2025 performance report and commended the tangible results achieved by the Government of Hope under the leadership of Dr. Kamil Idris. These outcomes have become evident in the regular functioning of the executive body and the public service, the facilitation of voluntary returns for citizens following the restoration of security and stability, and the provision of essential services necessary for a dignified life.
The Cabinet further highlighted Sudan’s continued participation in international institutions and the submission of serious initiatives aimed at ending the existential war imposed on the country and establishing peace.
