Khartoum: The Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) announcing the opening of two new air routes in Sudanese airspace, following the fulfillment of all requirements set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) committee in accordance with global technical standards. This step reflects continued progress toward fully restoring the operational capacity of Sudanese airspace.
According to Sudan News Agency, this move comes as part of the CAA’s ongoing efforts to secure and resume aviation operations in line with the highest safety and security standards, support international air navigation, and strengthen the role of Sudan’s civil aviation sector in the current phase.
The Civil Aviation Authority underscored that this achievement represents a tangible addition to the efforts aimed at restoring air activity in the country and supports airlines’ readiness to resume operations through Sudan’s skies.
