Cabinet Reviews General Framework of Several Ministerial Projects for 2026-2027

Khartoum: The Council of Ministers, during its meeting on Friday afternoon chaired by Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris, reviewed a report outlining the general framework of several short- and medium-term ministerial projects for the years 2026-2027. The Cabinet affirmed its full readiness to implement all ministerial projects and commended the Ministry of Minerals for adopting the Geological Survey Project. It directed that priority be given to projects related to people's livelihoods, as well as to restoring productive agricultural and service projects.

According to Sudan News Agency, the Council also stressed the importance of railway projects and national roads linking different states and neighboring countries. It further instructed ministerial sectors to receive the ministries' proposed projects and verify that they meet practical and technical standards.

The Cabinet also heard a briefing from Minister of Minerals Nour Al-Daim Mahmoud Taha on the Geological Survey Project and its role in attracting Arab, regional, and international investments in the mining sector, including gold, copper, and silver. The Council directed that traditional mining activities be regulated.
