Geneva: The Attorney General Mohamed Al-Fatih Tayfour, who also serves as the Chairman of the National Commission for the Investigation of Crimes and Violations of National Law and International Humanitarian Law, has arrived at Geneva International Airport. He is leading the Sudanese delegation participating in the 59th session of the Human Rights Council. This session is significant as the Council is set to hear an oral briefing from the International Commission of Inquiry, which was established following a decision by the Council.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Council will also receive a briefing from the National Commission for the Investigation of Crimes and Violations of National Law and International Humanitarian Law. The briefing will outline the measures the commission has taken since its formation. The Attorney General was greeted upon his arrival by Sudan’s Permanent Representative to Geneva, Ambassador Hassan Hamid Hassan, along with other members of the mission.
