Khalid Al-Eisir Highlights Role of AI in Transforming Sudan’s Tourism Sector

Khartoum:Minister of Culture, Information, Tourism and Antiquities Khalid Al-Eisir has emphasized the critical role of digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) in evolving the tourism sector to align with global advancements.According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Eisir made these remarks at a workshop organized by his ministry in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Communications to commemorate World Tourism Day. This year's theme is 'The Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence for Redesigning Tourism.'Al-Eisir pointed out the diverse tourism, cultural, and archaeological attractions in Sudan, asserting that modern technology could enhance the country's global image and bolster tourism's contribution to economic and developmental progress, especially in the post-war context.He further mentioned that the ministry intends to conduct workshops and training programs for tourism-sector workers to boost their skills and service quality. The efforts to advance the sector will persist despite the challenging circumstances the country currently faces.
