Khartoum: Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries Professor Ahmed Al-Tijani Al-Mansouri pledged to provide all necessary support to the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in North Kordofan State to enable it to recover and carry out its mandated role. This came during his meeting at the ministry headquarters in Khartoum with a delegation headed by the Director-General of the state Ministry of Production and Economic Resources, Eng. Ibrahim Hamid.
According to Sudan News Agency, the minister underlined the importance of North Kordofan State and its role in supporting exports. The meeting reviewed the difficulties facing the sector, particularly following the destruction of animal resources infrastructure in the state by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
Participants agreed on the need to rebuild the sector and improve breeds to increase production and productivity in the dairy field, in addition to establishing poultry facilities. These steps fall within coordination between the federal Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries and the state Ministry of Production and Economic Resources, alongside future visions, strategic plans, and programmes to be incorporated into the state ministry's 2026 plan.
