Khartoum: Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Khalid Al-Eisir affirmed the government’s full commitment to implementing the people’s will and achieving the peace they rightfully deserve, stressing that since 15 April 2023, priority has rested solely with the Sudanese people.
According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Eisir spoke at the Forum for Initiatives Supporting the Sustainability of Sudan’s Unity and Security, chaired by Yahya Adrob at Al-Thaghr Club in Port Sudan. He underscored the government’s determination to entrench the values and principles of deserved peace in line with the people’s conditions. The forum honoured him for his contributions to strengthening the media sector.
Al-Eisir saluted Sudanese citizens nationwide, the Armed Forces and supporting forces, and residents of areas affected by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia presence. He reaffirmed the state’s resolve to complete the liberation of the last remaining area in Darfur, noting that national service ‘derives its legitimacy from serving the citizen, not from holding office.’
He stressed the state’s continued support for the cultural sector and cultural centres for their role in reinforcing national awareness. He also commended the people of Eastern Sudan for supporting their compatriots during the war, affirming the government’s commitment to serving citizens across all regions.
