Al-aiser: The Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism expressed criticism on his Facebook page, highlighting what he perceives as the insincere and inconsistent international stances regarding the humanitarian crisis in Sudan. He emphasized that if these positions were genuinely rooted in humanitarian values and principles, the civilians in El-Fashir, Dilling, Kadugli, and other cities would not be facing starvation.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister condemned the apparent double standards in the international community’s response to the atrocities committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militias and mercenaries. He pointed out that children, women, and the elderly in Sudan are suffering the consequences of these crimes. The Minister urged the international community to fulfill its moral and humanitarian obligations by advocating for the lifting of the siege on El-Fashir and criminalizing those responsible for these acts. He called for a clear endorsement of the plan to open blocked roads to Dilling and Kadugli and a strong condemnation of the criminal acts in Kordofan and Darfur, which are taking a toll on innocent civilians amidst what he described as a suspicious international silence.
