Khartoum: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Ahmed Modawi Musa, affirmed the Ministry's strong commitment to making academic quality and accreditation a top priority in private and community higher education institutions in the coming period, and to developing the environment of these institutions to ensure the quality of their outputs.
According to Sudan News Agency, this statement came as he chaired the first meeting of the Committee for Regulating Private, Community, and Foreign Higher Education Institutions in its 30th session. The meeting, held on Thursday, was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Ali Al-Sheikh Al-Samani, along with committee members, including heads of technical committees and higher education experts.
During the meeting, preliminary approval was granted for the establishment of two new institutions in the White Nile and Red Sea states, and several new academic programs at existing institutions were authorized. The focus on expanding higher education, particularly in the states, was emphasized to ensure that the needs of students and their families are met, while maintaining an unwavering focus on academic quality.
