Gaza city: Health authorities in Gaza reported on Saturday that the ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza Strip has killed 66 Palestinians and injured dozens of others during the past 24 hours.
According to Syrian Arab News Agency, the Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 66 deaths and 265 new injuries. This brings the cumulative toll to 67,074 deaths and 169,430 injuries since the conflict intensified on October 7, 2023. The ministry also noted that some victims remain trapped under rubble, as civil defense and health rescue teams struggle to reach them.
The report highlighted that six individuals lost their lives, and 40 others sustained injuries in incidents related to food-seeking. This situation has resulted in a total of 2,603 deaths and over 19,094 injuries linked to food-seeking since the escalation.
Since the ceasefire agreement was broken by Israel on March 18, 2025, the death toll has surged to 13,486 deaths and 57,389 injuries, the ministry confirmed. Additionally, the number of famine-related deaths in Gaza has risen to 459, including 154 children.
