Zarqa Journal for Studies and Humanitarian Research ranks 1st locally, 4th in Arab world

The Zarqa Journal for Research and Humanitarian Studies, issued by the Deanship of Scientific Research at Zarqa University, ranked first locally and fourth in the Arab world for 2024, according to the Arab Citation and Impact Factor “ARCIF” criteria for accreditation

The journal ranked within the field of “Interdisciplinary Humanities” and in the highest category of journals for 2024 (Q1) according to the impact factor and reference citations for ARCIF issued by the “Ma’arifa” database for scientific production and content out of a total of 252 journals in this field.

President of the University, Nidhal Al Ramahi, lauded the Deanship of Scientific Research efforts and excellence achieved by the university in the research and scientific aspect, stressing that the university enjoys continuous and constant support from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zarqa Educational and Investment Company, Mahmoud Abu Shairah, and his motivation for the university employees towards scientific, research, and communi
ty excellence.

He pointed out that this ranking confirms the Zarqa University’s scientific journals distinguished position at the local and Arab levels, especially since it is one of the specialized scientific journals in the humanities and social sciences and has been published for nearly 25 years.

Khaled Al-Qawasmi, Dean of Scientific Research, pointed out that the journal met the impact factor and citation standards for ARCIF, which are 31 international standards issued by the Ma’arifa database, under the supervision and coordination of the UNESCO Regional Office, ESCWA, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), and the Special Libraries Association (SLA).

He emphasized that this achievement will motivate academic researchers from the humanities and social sciences to publish in Arabic-language journals and cite their research in the same way as international scientific journals.

The Zarqa Journal for Research and Humanities Studies is a peer-reviewed, internationally indexed and specialized scientific journal
issued by the Deanship of Scientific Research at Zarqa University in three issues annually, and its research is published in Arabic or English after undergoing evaluation and arbitration.

The journal’s research covers various fields of humanities; literature, sharia, economics, journalism, media, arts, education, administration, and law, in addition to being indexed in several international databases.
