Atbara: Minister of Youth and Sports Professor Ahmed Adam affirmed, on behalf of the Government of Hope, the full support and backing of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and the Council of Ministers for youth issues and projects. This support is in recognition of the sacrifices made by young people in the Battle of Dignity and their anticipated role as the spearhead of Sudan's building, development, and progress.
According to Sudan News Agency, during the opening session of the First National Conference on Youth Issues at the Land Port in Atbara, the Minister emphasized the necessity of empowering youth and harnessing their energies and innovations to achieve security and stability in the country. He highlighted the importance of discussing youth issues with full transparency to reach outcomes that would establish a clear roadmap for the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports and its counterparts in the states.
Professor Ahmed Adam pointed out that a gap has emerged between generations, creating a vacuum that has left youth vulnerable to external targeting. He stressed the importance of providing them with knowledge-based guidance and strong family support to counter these vulnerabilities.
Furthermore, he noted that the conference would not only present specialized working papers but also showcase youth projects and innovations. This approach is seen as a practical step toward studying, adopting, and supporting these initiatives through universities and relevant stakeholders, as well as identifying potential funding sources.
