Sennar: The Acting Minister of Health and Social Development in Sennar State, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Awad Ahmed, has received crucial support from the World Health Organization (WHO), which included medical supplies for hospitals and nutrition centers within the state. The Minister expressed gratitude for WHO’s role in bolstering the health system in Sennar State and emphasized the need for further interventions.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Director General of Primary Health Care, Fatima Mohamed Abdel-Halim, highlighted that the newly received supplies will enhance the capacity of nutrition centers. She commended WHO’s interventions, noting their significant contribution to the ongoing recovery of the health system.
Furthermore, WHO Coordinator in Sennar, Mustafa Mohamed Issa, detailed that the supplies include beds, equipment, medical mattresses, and various other essentials. These provisions were identified as necessary following supervisory visits that assessed the needs of the treatment centers.
