Warsaw International Book Fair Concludes with Strong Arab Cultural Presence

Warsaw: The fifth edition of the Warsaw International Book Fair concluded on Monday in Warsaw, with publishers and exhibitors from 34 countries taking part. This year's edition was marked by a strong Arab cultural presence, with Sharjah serving as the guest of honor. The fair's accompanying program featured 1,500 cultural, literary, and artistic events. Organizers also announced the winners of the IKAR Awards, which recognize literary and professional achievements in Poland's publishing sector.

According to Qatar News Agency, oil prices rose by about 1 percent at settlement on Tuesday, reaching their highest levels in a week amid volatile trading as markets monitored developments in the Middle East. Brent crude futures gained $1.02, or 1.1 percent, to settle at $96 a barrel. US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose $1.60, or 1.7 percent, to settle at $93.76 a barrel.
