Khartoum: Under the directives of President of the Transitional Sovereign Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, and under the supervision and patronage of the Director General of the Defense Industries Organization, General Engineer Merghani Idris Suleiman, the Sudanese Defense Industries Organization sent a special train on Monday to transport Sudanese citizens from the Arab Republic of Egypt to Sudan. This humanitarian and national initiative aimed to facilitate their return to their homeland in safe and organized circumstances.
According to Sudan News Agency, this convoy came within the framework of the ongoing efforts made by the Sudanese state through its national institutions to care for its citizens abroad and provide them with means of transportation and basic services, particularly in light of the exceptional circumstances the country is going through.
The Defense Industries Organization has taken full administrative and technical arrangements, in coordination with the official authorities in Egypt and Sudan, where citizen gathering operations were organized in several Egyptian cities, and means of transportation were provided to take them to the train station in Cairo, before the designated train departed towards Sudan.
The train was equipped with comprehensive logistical and medical services, under the direct supervision of specialized teams to ensure the comfort and safety of citizens during the journey. This reflects the high level of commitment and discipline that characterized the operation from the moment of departure to arrival.
This initiative is an extension of the Defense Industries Organization’s role in national support, not only in the military field but also in civil and humanitarian aspects, confirming its position as a strategic institution that contributes to supporting the state and society alike.
A number of returning citizens expressed their great appreciation for the significant efforts made by the Sudanese leadership and the organization, confirming that this initiative represents a clear message that the state is present and attaches great importance to its citizens wherever they are.
