El-fashir: The Humanitarian Trust Organization, with the support of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Organization (IHH) and in coordination with the Ministry of Social Welfare of the Darfur Region Government, on Saturday launched a project to provide food meals for displaced persons (IDPs) besieged in El-Fashir city.
According to Sudan News Agency, the project began through the ‘Ahl-Al-Khair’ Kitchen and Water Provision Takya (charitable relief center), which distributed meals to displaced persons (IDPs) in shelter centers across the city.
Citizens and IDPs praised the quality of the meals and the efforts made by the humanitarian organizations, affirming that the initiative reflects the depth of the historical relations between the Sudanese and Turkish peoples. They also commended the improvement in the quality of the meals as a result of the support provided by IHH.
They stressed that living conditions have severely deteriorated due to the war and the siege, calling for international solidarity to stop the grave violations and lift the blockade. They further hailed the cooperation between the Humanitarian Trust Organization and IHH in supporting the ‘Ahl-Al-Khair’ Kitchen and Takya to prepare food for thousands of besieged families in El-Fashir.
