Khartoum: Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander Malik Agar, met Thursday with the “South Kordofan and Abyei Appeal” delegation. The meeting centered on the pressing humanitarian situation, discussing efforts to address the crisis in South Kordofan and Abyei.
According to Sudan News Agency, the humanitarian crisis has been aggravated by the actions of the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. These actions include attacks on civilians, the use of humanitarian aid as a weapon, and the displacement of residents from their villages to take control of their lands.
The TSC Vice-President acknowledged the initiative launched by the delegation, noting its significance in fostering national unity. Commander Agar committed to bringing the delegation’s demands to the Sovereignty Council, aiming to find practical solutions to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Abyei and South Kordofan.
