Khartoum: Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander Malik Aggar, met with the Head of the National Mechanism for Resolving the National Crisis (NMRNC), Ahmed Al-Tayib Zein Al-Abidin. The meeting focused on addressing the political congestion in Sudan and strengthening unity among its people.
According to Sudan News Agency, Commander Aggar praised the efforts made by the NMRNC and emphasized the importance of embracing diverse perspectives to achieve national unity. During the meeting, he received a written document outlining the NMRNC’s strategies and plans for resolving the ongoing national crisis. Commander Aggar pledged to respond to these efforts.
The Vice-President was also briefed on the evolution of the mechanism from its initial formation as the Revolutionary Legislative Council to its current status as the NMRNC. The mechanism aims to unify societal forces and plans to hold a conference for internal dialogue. This conference seeks to formulate a political project that involves civil leadership, national components, and youth forces.
Furthermore, the head of the mechanism informed Commander Aggar about the outcomes of its meetings with various regional and international parties. These discussions highlighted how negative international interventions have contributed to the outbreak of conflict in Sudan.
