Khartoum: The Secretary-General of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lieutenant General Dr. Mohamed Al-Ghali Ali Yousuf, convened with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Sudan, Fateh Yildiz, at the Council's Secretariat.
According to Sudan News Agency, the TSC Secretary-General conveyed Sudan's gratitude for Turkey's supportive role in various sectors across the nation. The meeting underscored the important contributions Turkey could make, particularly in the reconstruction of the old Republican Palace, which is a significant symbol for Sudan.
In a press statement, Ambassador Yildiz expressed Turkey's readiness to assist in Sudan's rebuilding initiatives. He highlighted the efforts of the Turkish TIKA Agency, which has previously restored several buildings in Suakin City, pointing to the shared cultural heritage that strengthens ties between Turkey and Sudan.
