Khartoum: In its press statement issued Sunday, the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) said: “Only hours after the statement issued by the Quadripartite Mechanism regarding Sudan and its call for peace and cessation of the war, the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia launched suicidal destructive drones early this morning, deliberately targeting civilian facilities and infrastructure. The attacks focused on Um-Dabakir power station, fuel depots in White Nile State, and Kananah civil airport.”
According to Sudan News Agency, the TSC described the incident as a criminal assault, adding that it adds to the long record of war crimes and crimes against humanity by the RSF militia. The council emphasized that these actions represent a systematic behavior of the militia and highlighted the lack of regional and international response to these events.
The TSC’s statement further indicated that the ongoing conflict is directed against the Sudanese people, asserting that they will be the ones to confront and resolve these challenges.
