TSC President Visits Abu Haraz, Hails Community Backing for Armed Forces

Abu haraz: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, visited the Abu Haraz area in Al-Gezira State on Friday. He was received by Sheikh Abdel Rahman Sheikh Al-Naji, the successor of Sheikh Dafallah Aal-Masouban.

According to Sudan News Agency, General Al-Burhan remarked that Abu Haraz has always been a place of solidarity, compassion, and knowledge. He praised the Al-Gadiriya sect for its role in spreading religious and Sufi teachings within the community and highlighted Sheikh Abdel Rahman Sheikh Al-Naji's steadfast support for his people throughout the war.

The TSC President emphasized the importance of national unity and cohesion for the people of Al-Gezira, stressing the need for the state to return to its former prosperity and for its development projects to resume their original course. He noted that the Al-Gezira Scheme has historically been a primary contributor to the national treasury and affirmed the state's commitment to supporting farmers and empowering them through all available means to boost production.

His Excellency reiterated that the state does not reject peace or ceasefire initiatives but stressed that the enemy must not use such measures as a pretext to re-enter the conflict. He added that the Sudanese people will not tolerate rebel militias or their collaborators, urging armed individuals who have been misled to heed reason and respond to the call of the nation for peace, security, and stability in the country.
