Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, has been briefed on the overall situation in West Kordofan State and the state government’s efforts to provide assistance to citizens affected by the war.
According to Sudan News Agency, this update was provided during a meeting in his office with the state Wali (governor), Major General (Ret.) Mohamed Adam Jayid. The meeting addressed the impact of the war initiated by the terrorist Al Dagalo militia against the state and its institutions, highlighting the extensive damage to government institutions and infrastructure. The Wali emphasized that the conflict has led to the displacement of many citizens within and outside West Kordofan State due to the actions of the rebel militia.
The Wali also mentioned that humanitarian interventions in the state, initiated by President Al Burhan, have played a role in alleviating the suffering of the local population. He confirmed the
state government’s commitment to cooperating with all parties to restore security and stability, as well as to ensure the provision of services to the citizens.
