Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, received a written message on Wednesday from Egyptian President, Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, containing an official invitation to visit the Arab Republic of Egypt in the coming period. The message also included an affirmation of Egypt’s support for Sudan during these difficult circumstances.
According to Sudan News Agency, this invitation was conveyed during Al-Burhan’s meeting with the Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan, Hani Salah, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef. Ambassador Hani Salah stated in a press statement that General Al-Burhan welcomed the invitation, highlighting that both Sudanese and Egyptian sides will collaborate to ensure proper arrangements for the visit. The meeting also addressed developments in Sudan, including the situation in Darfur and discussions from the London Conference on Sudan held on Tuesday.
The Egyptian Ambassador further briefed the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council on the status of bilateral relations and ongoing preparations for the second edition of the Sudanese-Egyptian Business Forum. Ambassador Salah emphasized Egypt’s support for Sudan, grounded in the ties between the two countries. He expressed a desire to transform the crisis that Sudan is experiencing into one that garners international attention and praised the resilience of the Sudanese people, along with their solidarity and cooperation in rebuilding efforts following the conflict.
