TSC President Meets Salamat Tribe Coordination Delegation

Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Gen. Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, met on Thursday with the Salamat Tribe Coordination Delegation headed by the Coordination Head, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Abdul-Malik Al-Bashir Musa.

According to Sudan News Agency, the Chairman of the Salamat Coordination highlighted in a press statement that the meeting addressed the security, service, and humanitarian conditions in the country. He affirmed to the TSC President the firm position of support for the armed forces as they confront the militia, condemning the violations committed against the Sudanese people and institutions.

Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Musa emphasized that national responsibility requires uniting to enhance security and stability, urging support for the armed forces to eliminate the militia and achieve peace. He called on tribal components in South Darfur to abandon the militia, which he claims aims to destroy Sudan, and to join efforts for a united and strong Sudan.

He reiterated that the armed forces remain the safety valve of the country and the guarantor of Sudan’s unity and stability.
