Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met on Thursday with a delegation from the Committee of Intelligence and Security Services of Africa (CISSA). The meeting was attended by the Director of the General Intelligence Service, General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal.
According to Sudan News Agency, the CISSA delegation congratulated General Al-Burhan on the government's resumption of operations from the capital, Khartoum. They expressed appreciation for Sudan's efforts to restore security and stability and reestablish the functioning of state institutions in the capital.
The delegation reaffirmed its full solidarity with Sudan and expressed support for the state's efforts to confront the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, emphasizing the importance of strengthening security and stability.
During the meeting, General Al-Burhan provided an overview of the latest developments in the country, including the government's efforts to restore security and stability and its vision for the next phase. He also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation with African intelligence and security services.
The meeting covered issues of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between Sudan and CISSA, aiming to support security and stability in Sudan and across the African continent.
