Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, recently conducted an inspection visit to the Al-Gaili Oil Refinery. During his visit, he observed the damage caused by the Al-Dagalo militia, which targeted this crucial economic facility.
According to Sudan News Agency, General Al-Burhan has committed to reconstructing the refinery to restore its operations. He emphasized that the destruction inflicted by the militia on this national asset will not be tolerated. The President declared an ongoing commitment to overcoming the rebellion led by Al-Dagalo militia and vowed to restore every part of the country affected by their actions.
General Al-Burhan also expressed his appreciation for the engineers and workers at the refinery. He acknowledged their efforts in tackling the damage and working towards the restoration of the refinery, with hopes that it will regain its significant role in the nation’s economy.
