Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, conducted an inspection of Al-Merkhiyat Power Station after it was targeted by the Al-Dagalo militia.
According to Sudan News Agency, the TSC President evaluated the damage inflicted on the power station due to ongoing attacks by the rebel militia. These assaults have not only affected civilians but have also led to the destruction of Sudanese state institutions, infrastructure, and essential service facilities, worsening the citizens’ hardships.
General Al-Burhan emphasized that the targeting of civilian and service facilities by the militia is an act of cowardice directed at innocent people. He assured that such actions would be countered with efforts focused on reconstruction and development.
