Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, on Wednesday issued a decree appointing General (Police) Amir Abdel-Monem Fadl as Director General of the Police Forces.
According to Sudan News Agency, the TSC President also appointed Lt. Gen. (Police) Al-Tahir Mohamed Al-Balloula as Deputy Director General and Inspector General of the Police Forces. The decree directed the Ministry of Interior and the relevant authorities to implement the changes promptly.
Earlier, the TSC President had issued a decree relieving General (Police) Khalid Hassan Mohy-Eddin from his post as Director General of the Police Forces, along with his deputy, Lt. Gen. (Police) Mohamed Ibrahim Awadallah.
