Khartoum: The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, held a meeting with Fahd Mashari Al-Dhafiri, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Sudan, at his office in Khartoum. Present at the meeting was the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mohi-Eddin Salem.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing and discussing the development and strengthening of bilateral relations between Sudan and Kuwait, aiming to serve the mutual interests of both nations. The TSC President expressed appreciation for Kuwait's supportive roles in international and regional platforms, underscoring the solid and distinguished relations between the two countries.
The Kuwaiti ambassador communicated a message from Kuwait's leadership concerning the aggressions faced by Kuwait and other Gulf countries from Iran. He reported that the TSC President affirmed Sudan's condemnation of these aggressions and emphasized Sudan's solidarity with Kuwait and the Gulf states, supporting their right to take necessary actions to prevent further aggression.
Additionally, the Kuwaiti ambassador congratulated the TSC President on the government's return to Khartoum and the resumption of official activities from the capital. He praised Sudan's leadership and citizens, highlighting their actions as noble and memorable to Kuwait's leadership and people. The ambassador reiterated Kuwait's unwavering support for Sudan's unity, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and acknowledged Kuwait's humanitarian efforts toward Sudan, particularly during the war period.
